This is a short video crudely demonstrating the performance enhancement capabilities offered by the Modified Overclock Kernel (800Mhz) on webOS 1.4.0 (In development, will be released shortly). – This is not indicative of Stock Performance. – This is a True Overclock of the Palm Pre. Extensive testing performed and no danger observed yet! (from 80 Users) = Relatively safe – Those with current Overclock Kernels on 1.3.5.x are advised NOT TO install on webOS 1.4.0, The kernels are different and are not designed to be interoperable, they will not work. Doing so will most likely cause Damage to your Pre. You have been warned. Credits go to Caj2008 & Unixpsycho from PreCentral for making this Overclock Kernel Possible. And me (Shadow-360) for the video . More information here: forums.precentral.net Long live webOS & Homebrew!
You like HTC’s Sense UI, but you have a Google Nexus One. If only there were a way you could run a ROM on your Nexus One that made it look and feel like, say, an HTC Desire. Lucky for you, it’s not as hard as it sounds! The HTC Desire, as it turns out, is almost identical to the Google Nexus One, and the ROMs are basically interchangeable. If you’re interested, read my previous article about How to Root Your Nexus One, then substitute an HTC Desire ROM for the CyanogenMod ROM in step 7. See how it’s done in this video.
Just got my hands on the Quake build for HTC Hero, the controls still really suck (and I havent had time to rebind them yet), but the game runs really smooth.
Live from the HTC/Vodafone launch event, Noah gets a hands-on demo of the new HTC Magic. The second Google Android phone is slimmer than G1, and has no physical keyboard. It’s a Vodafone exclusive for now, and is running the new “Cupcake” build of the Android OS. MORE MWC 2009 @ www.phonedog.com MORE Android @ www.phonedog.com
