edit: YouTube killed the quality a bit even in HQ. Hey LiveJournal loves, I finally was able to put this together. I’m sorry for the delay. There were a few accidents for the making of this video. 1] My camcorder died – therefore I had to record using my digital camera. Surprisingly, the quality wasn’t that horrible, but it’ll never be as amazing as it could have been with my now RIP camcorder. 2] The audio was going fine until people started cooking in the kitchen slamming pots and pans all over the place – so I had to mute the original audio and narrate. If the audio comes out low – I apologize; try to increase your speaker volume. I know you all don’t mind the flaws; you guys are amazing that way. Any way – this is a very QUICK overview of the touch screen AND the card system. Later on I’ll show messaging, email, etc. I’ll see you @ LiveJournal for discussion and fangirling, so comments turned off.

Thanks again to the Palm Pre homebrew development community, recording video on the Palm Pre smartphone isn’t just possible, but the quality is even better than regular TV or surveillance camera quality (352 x 240). The Palm Pre can record higher quality videos using the latest video standard H.264 at a resolution of 480 x 320. This video format is popular in Blu-ray and HD DVD discs which uses Advanced Video Coding technology. The Pre must be held sideways (microUSB up) to record video footage in the correct orientation.
