The iphone application designed for listening to the Alex Jones Show has shot up on the itunes Store chart listing free apps. On February 10, the app rated number eight on the chart, beating out apps for mainstream and corporate media sources, including MSNBC, the AP, The Wall Street Journal, CBS News, and the Huffington Post The popularity of the free app demonstrates the growing desire for alternative news delivered by new technology. Palm has continued to play their cat and mouse game with Apple regarding iTunes syncing for the Palm Pre.  Recently, Apple updated iTunes to 8.2.1 which seemingly was released with the sole purpose of patching the hole Palm used to allow the Pre to sync with the flagship digital music store.  Now, Palm has pushed an update of webOS to the Pre that once again allows syncing through Apples desktop client.
