The 3G version of Apple’s iPad goes on sale in the United States at 5 pm Friday, and so far, the crowds haven’t begun queueing in San Francisco. There have been reports of lines forming at a few stores on the East Coast. However, there isn’t an expectation of throngs turning out for the first sale the way they did for the Wi-Fi version of the iPad earlier this month. Apple on Friday said its stores will be closed for an hour, starting at 4 pm, to prepare for the device’s launch. People who preordered an iPad 3G should receive their shipments starting Friday too. Those who missed the preorder period will begin receiving their shipments by May 7, according to Apple’s Web site. Apple said it sold more than 300000 Wi-Fi-only iPads when they went on sale April 3. Because of the higher-than-expected demand, Apple said it was forced to delay the launch of the device for international markets until the end of May.

It’s iPad day and here’s my first look review of the new Apple iPad. I run through my first impressions and some tidbits of info I thought worth sharing. More videos to come looking at specific apps.

The glove can be anything you want, you can use a weight lifting glove which I happened to have or a fleece glove that you can cut the fingers out. If you have any questions just ask. These are very quick sketches just to show that you can sketch easily on the Ipad. Take in mind this device does not have any pressure sensitivity, I fake it by playing with opacity. Both Sketchbook pro and Brushes are amazing and easy to use art programs for the Ipad.
