We took our video interview from the Dimension 3 Expo in Pantin, France, just outside of Paris, with Neil Schneider, founder of Meant To Be Seen (MTBS) 3D, an Internet forum on Stereoscopic 3D, and converted the video clip to Stereoscopic 3D. This is how we did it and the two versions we created: We used a combination of 2D and 3D in the finished video. The original interview was shot in 2D High-Definition on a Sony PMW EX3. The original edit was done using Grass Valley Edius Broadcast Pro 5.01. Music background was created using Sonicfire Pro SmartSound 5.1. We utilized Spatial View Stereo plugin for After Affects CS4. The opening and closing graphics were added to the line along with the 2D video. We then added an adjustment layer and loaded the plugin to the adjustment layer. Spatial View 3D-to-Stereo conversion allowed us to layer the 3D in multiple parallax views. In addition, Spatial View allows us to view the conversion in Anaglyph or any number of side-by-side or top-and-bottom Stereo views. We utilized Anaglyph to make the initial adjustments and fine tune the 3D variables. We then rendered out each of the video segment – the open, the interview, and the close – separately in both Anaglyph and half-side-by-side formats. We then stiched these three together using Edius Broadcast Pro. Finally, using Adobe CS4 Media Encoder, we used the Apple TV720p setting for outputting our final MP4′s which were then uploaded to YouTube and our FTP server. The half-side-by-side …
I have bought all three generations of iPhones on launch day, but I cannot take it any longer. In the end, it was rejection of Google Voice from the App Store that drove me to this point, but that was just the tip of the spear. Whether it is their refusal to let other gadgets such as the Palm Pre interface with iTunes, or their Draconian App Store procedures…I simply cannot support them with a clear conscience, which is why I chose to end the life of my iPhone in this manner instead of selling it–after all, who would want to pass on a cancer to another person? Apple may have fooled the world with their witty commercials and bright t-shirts, but they will no longer fool me. Their approach has helped them gain a sizable chunk of the PC market, but as their popularity grows, people will begin to see them for what they really are–a corporation far more “evil” than Microsoft would ever dream to be. Apple is turning consumerism into communism. Any entity that enforces such anti-competitive practices and dictates what their paying population can and cannot have without any explanation, consistency, or reason is communistic. Google Nexus S vs. HTC EVO 4G Dogfight Part 1 by Aaron It’s a Dogfight review between the Google Nexus S and the HTC EVO 4G, two high-end smartphones on the market. The Google Nexus S offers a 1 GHz processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 5-megapixel camera, a front-facing camera for video calling, and Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The HTC EVO 4G is no slouch either – it packs a 1 GHz processor, 4.3-inch display, 8-megapixel camera, front-facing camera, kickstand, and Android 2.2. Honestly, they’re both awesome Android devices. The HTC EVO 4G will probably appeal to first-time Android users, while the Nexus S will appeal to the die-hard Android user due to its limited availability.
