Is that application switcher thingy available on all Android phones?
This phone is exactly the same as the Droid.
@ItsAndroidsWorld I would pay for that
@feixbix maybe cuhz itd cost like 60 bucks juss to ship u the phone
Android isn’t restricted just to the built in rom for apps, you can partition the SD card (may vary depending on the rom you use) and install piles more apps.
this is the first phone to make me wish i could just sell my iphone I WANT THIS PHONE SOOOO BAAAD im gonna buy it unlocked
@shaw9825 no
@FTeeW but you will have to pay for a data plan if your getting it on a cellular network if your using it on wifi then no
@FTeeW no
if i got a nexus one would it cost extra to use youtube and facebook
why can European not win a phone? Only US and Canada citizen … shame on you!!!
what about Nexus One vs. Hero/Eris
Never had an issue that would require this tho. But then again i’m not too big on typing and i’d rather use the likes of Swype for text entry. I can see how it could be an issue if you were able to type that fast. A bit harder when you have extra keys like scandinavians do.
it is important because u can type more accurately and faster
can do speech to text on the moto droid
even though it may force close occasionally, multitasking is still the best part of android, i had an iphone, and its a good phone & all, but waiting to do things one at a time was frustrating. using an android phone with a snapdragon processor, (which is faster than iphone’s processor) you can run many apps & services without any slowdown, but realistically there are limits as shown in this video it can force close if bogged down too much, but it still beats iphone one command at a time crap.
Great video John. Really enjoyed you going over some features about the Nexus One and much more!
Ah I see, I can see why’d that be important now. Thanks.
It allows you to type slightly faster because you dont have to lift your finger up before you press the next button
This phone doesn’t impress me in the slightest.
Multi-touch in text messaging? That’s kind of an odd request, never knew that having multi-touch in a messaging app was important.
StarContact from the Market enables you to find contacts with the ten-key system. I use it on my HTC Hero. And also you said that you can’t open a plethora of software in the background/memory, you can. Android just doesn’t have a native Task Manager that would show you that. The home button long press is a Recently opened apps list. There are several good Task Managers on the market (i use AppSwipe). Just thought i’d clear a few things as i’m waiting for my own N1 to be shipped to Finland
About the last point, why using the dialpad when you can just hit the search key on the home screen or in the Contact app and start entering the name
what about multi-touch in text messaging thats the most important
ANDROID PIMP.
