Palm Pre: My Choice
There are countless videos reviewing the Pre but this one is a personal recommendation I’m making to mostly my LiveJournal friends. This is an introduction video for the upcoming reviews I’ll make of the Palm Pre. Ever since I found out about this device I’ve been waiting to have to and show it to the world. I let you know why I chose it over the iPhone and why you should consider it too. They have endured my ramblings about the Pre since March and it’s only fair that I show – with facts …

You were one of the few that had a defective pre, which they would’ve replaced for free. Also, You can explain your poor reception to your company and they would give you a free airwave or airrave whatever its called that boosts signal inside your house.
Sprint isn’t as desperate as you think. Because I missed 2 payments over the course of 6 months, which I paid back the DAY after, they refused me another line when I need one for my business.
I was stunned that a company in their condition would refuse money for an added plan from me.
same thing with me but i love my pre only miss the games and vid on the instinct
your personality is cute lol! and i had a instinct before i had my pre and i honestly make more mistakes on the pre then the instinct, but i still love the pre,but kinda miss the instinct! but pre is a really good phone!
I love your reviews. You are informative and insightful. Your very honest and speak from experience. Thanks, keep them coming!
Yeah, I’m hoping for Jan. ’10. Someone’s hacked the Pre to run on Verizon, but with limited features, including now internet services. I miss my Treo lol. The Storm is decent…if the screen isn’t crappy, and it lags a lot, and it freezes because the memory drops and have to do a battery pull at least twice a day. I’m hoping Sprint will pass on the extension, but even if they do, I’m still getting a Pre. Since it’s CDMA tech is compatible with Verizon, I’m sure it’ll be fully hacked by then.
[..contd] And so I am like… “O_O WTF?” I thought BB should have stayed away from the touch screen business but I did hear the performance improves with an OS update; haven’t tested improved. And actually what a darn coincidence… I was @ Verizon today trying to get the 411 on when they’d have the Pre… and the agents were a bit reluctant to talk, but afterwards they kind of confirmed a launch for Jan. 2010 – though it’s still limbo ’cause Sprint can extend their exclusivity [hah!] ~
Sprint is okay for the most part – when you don’t need to hassle with customer service. Before – when I was with them originally – I was always treated good & the few times I even had to call for a complaint all issues were resolved quickly. However, the employee who sold me the Palm Pre has gotten me into a huge mess with discounts and billing – which Sprint has failed to really work with me. I’m vlogging all about it. Storm I have tried… and was a bit disappointed; screen lags. [cont]
I was a loyal Sprint customer for years, but last year I made the switch to Verizon. Verizon just seems to have a better network in my area and better 3G speeds, but I miss my Palm Treos. I have the Blackberry Storm right now and it’s ok (aside for the ridiculous data plan fee), but I’m on my 3rd one in 2 months because of poor reliability. I cannot wait until the Pre is released on Verizon’s network….or someone fully hacks it to be compatible.
makes me wonder what sprint would have done with me if I had good credit.
It’s quite easy to type with long nails; I’m a girl, so I’m used to it.
True fact – and I’m so glad I can take advantage of that and not have to pay a deposit. Any wireless company who thinks that paying the equivalent of rent [in many places] is insane. LOL One has to take advantage of these good offers. It’s helping each other out; they chain me and I get in free. ;D
I think sprint didn’t ask for a deposit, although you have bad credit, is because sprint is desperate as of 2008.
They had to fire like 10′s of thousands of employees and they had lost a lot of subscribers.
They need more subscribers like you. So I guess they would risk the bad credit for a new subscriber.
I saw the Palm Pre Screen and Cards…but how can you manage to type on the row keys with long nails?!
returned my pre.
A – sprint didn’t work in my apartment.
B – pre would turn off by itself all the time.
You make some good points about multi tasking! Almost everything about the iPhone is to do with making more money for less features!
Trust me…I love my Palm Pre. I’ve been a long time loyal SPRINT customer just like you. So ummm…*High Five* =]
Yes, yes – even in my area where Sprint has better coverage than AT&T – there are STILL spots where the speed is shaky. I’m happy that for the most part I do get a fairly consistent signal though – which does improve the battery life. Many people tend to complain without realizing small things like that – but well, we can’t all be nerds. =] What do you think of the upcoming Google phone?
Your comment is hilarious. I hope you enjoy the Pre & have patience for all the goodies that are coming for it.
OMG I love you. I threw away my i-Phone and got the Palm Pre just for you. Ok, ok…I didn’t. But I still love you tho. =]
Dude, that’s kind of creepy.
you are so cute, i’m loving this phone too, i have it since launch day and i’m totally inlove with it, grear review.
I had a similar experience when I got my Pre. There was a short wait for activation and the rep got me coffee while I waited….My problem with Sprint was that their coverage was pretty poor in the Chicago area. Now that I’m on the Pre, they seem to have improved quite a bit. There are still places where my T-Mobile G1 gets better voice coverage but it often drops from 3G to Edge. The Pre by contrast rarely ever drops its EVDO connection.
Good review…those beautiful lips were kinda distracting but still a helpful review. Thanks.
i’ve been with sprint since 2002. Never had any trouble. I had at&t for 10 days with the iphone and it was terrible, I had to return it.
