great review…its the review i need to go ahead & order. the phones not perfect, but i love the hardware. goodbye pre(i love the UI, but too unhappy with the hardware).
thanks again
If you type anything to anyone then its useful. Unless you like having to type slower just so your phone can keep up with you.
Well not really, it also depends on the technology they use. Apple developed a new type of touch screen which allow people to access the screen at two or more points on the screen at the same time (multitouch) and it is much more sensitive. The reason why the others can’t use this technology because apple had already registered their copyright for this new tech. But yeah it all depends on what type of phone you want. For business, entertaining, or whatsoever.
Of course it does. I don’t get why every damn phone has a portrait review and landscape is the only proper way to use the qwerty keyboard, especially with different foreign keyboards that have more keys like the scandinavian kind.
Versions on different operating systems go by different version progress. They’re in no way comparable.
Trackball is nice when editing text, but i do prefer iPhone’s way with the magnifying glass. HTC Hero and Nexus One have a bit to go in that department since the editing is a bit annoying by just touching the screen.
Do tell me where it’s so useful that it has to be cried about in every single review….
How would 2 speakers help in any way on such a small device?
Why are all reviews done by Appleminded people that can’t seem to understand that EVERYTHING on the Android platform can be changed and modified, including the Browser, music player, SMS software, contacts software etc. No need to bash the default player, just change to a better one. Meridian is just fine or Museek or MixZing.
Ah OK, so because they didn`t want to have a high price they`ve built in a little less responsive TS then the one in the iPhone.
But what I don`t get is, that the TouchHD from HTC is very expensive and still doesn`t have a TS, that is as responsive as the one from the iPhone….
The iphone have better touchscreen but shorter batery life and easily get hot etc. in the cars and much more expensive
@lariaett: Under that logic, the iphone copied the following from every predecessor phone: making calls, texting, changing your lock-screen picture, having audio ringtones, ‘apps’, playing mp3′s, recording video, etc.
In short, fuck off.
I NEED TIS PHONE
All touchscreen phones have that
The (“proprietary”) battery´s only 1400mAh?
How good is the touchscreen. A friend of mine has a HTC Touch HD with a huge touchscreen but it is not as good as the iphons touchscreen in turms of sensibility, which I find odd, since the Touch HD is a newer device…
How good is the nexus1 TS in comparison to the TS of the iPhone?
@Chufless Yeah I know but its lame.. why would you buy a smart phone and not get a data plan? That would mean you would have to be constantly looking for wifi spots and most of them arn’t free. Starbucks, mcdonalds and other food chains REQUIRE that you make an account and subscribe to something.. and btw public wifi is a very insecure way to surf the web or to pay bills online. My point is..don’t buy a phone just because it looks cool and be a cheap bastard and not get a data plan..
Won’t purchase until Flash 10.1 is released for it.
@oblivion292
You can always use free WiFi wich is in most of the cities…
dude. why does EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE EVERYONE COMPARES IT TO IPHONE. c’mon why u sayin its a copy??? its a way different phone, and plus if u say that shit is copy then google should tell iphone to shut down GOOGLES gps application on iphone. so leave it alone.
Another iphone copy… Slide to unlock! wtf?
Come up with something own, as long as you copy iphones stuff you can’t beat it
@cMARVEL360 I got an Iphone 3g through at&t with 450 monthly rollover minutes, unlimited nights and weekend minutes,and unlimited data plan for $75 a month including the taxes..and with a 2 year contract the phone only cost me $100. I have a shit paying job (not far from minimum wage) but I still manage. I would check out At&t or T-mobile and see what they offer. But yeah I agree with you.. cellular plans are expensive.
@oblivion292
ROFL! You gave me the right answer. I’ve never owned a smart phone and i currently have a voyager. But man that kinda blows cuz you got the data plan and the texting all all that ontop of all that. God verizon needs an all in one cheap plan. Damn those expensive basterds. Ugh i hope i can come up with something good or else i’ll have to settle for another outdated “Quick Messaging Phone”.
@cMARVEL360 I’m not sure how to answer your question….but I’m pretty sure if you buy a smart phone you are required to buy a data plan..Some people have bought smart phones and only use them to talk and when they want to browse the web occasionally they get hit with $14,000 cell phone bills…
they never show anything about texting on this thing…i know it has all these other fantastic things but im a texting feind i need to know this stuff!
