iPhone 3G[s] Waterproof? Don’t Try This at Home!
This video comes from YouTube user KhenaKara. He apparently took his brand new iPhone 3G[s] on vacation with him and was taking video poolside when the unthinkable happens; his iPhone decided it wanted to take a dip. Many have cried foul on this, seeing that tons of iPhones have died from much less water contact.
KhenaKara explains that he did have a rubber case on the phone. Many commenters pointed out that you can see a camera strap so he uploaded a video of the case and strap. He explains that he has the strap wrapped on the rubber case and clearly shows how in the case video.
If this is a fake, it is a pretty good one. After watching I have the feeling that this might be true. I implore that you do not try to re-create this yourself. The iPhone is not waterproof; this may be the .1% that will survive a skinny dip like this.
