Instructions: How to Record Video on Your iPhone OG and 3G
The iPhone 3G[s], with it’s upgraded 3 MP camera, includes video recording but Apple decided to keep that ability exclusive to the new device. The OG iPhone and iPhone 3G get the step child treatment because Apple says the camera is not good enough to record video. I am here to tell you that both older model iPhones are quite capable of recording video and I will show you how to get it for yourself.
This method requires that you have a jailbroken iPhone running OS 3.0.

Once you have jailbroken your device, we can begin.
1. Open Cydia and click on “Manage”
2. Click on “Sources”
3. Click on “Edit” then “Add”. Enter the Cydia Source http://iphonevideorecorder.com/3
4. Click “Add Source”
5. Once Cydia is done verifying and updating sources click “Return to Cydia” then click “Done”
6. Now click “Changes” in the bottom menu. You should now see “Video Recorder for 3.0″
7. Click on it and click “Install” then “Confirm”
8. After Cydia does its thing, click on “Return to Cydia” Then click the home button to close Cydia
9. Find the “videorecorder3″ icon and you are now able to record video on your OG iPhone and iPhone 3G!
You can now record video,play it back on your iPhone, upload it to YouTube, and email it to friends. The application gives you a trial period but for the full version without restrictions it will cost you $19.95 USD. Don’t be jealous of the new iPhone 3G[s] and when someone tries to make your older model iPhone feel inadequet you can show them how you can record video too.
