*HELLO* – So in this video I compare the brand new Google Nexus One phone with the iPhone 3GS. A detailed look at the phones and then some thoughts on the subject. This video is really to START THE DEBATE of Google vs Apple, Andorid vs iPhone OSX. NOT my typical DETAILED analysis.

@DRBUK ….again.. Multi tasking does not mean it eats away at the battery. Task managers arent even needed… As for battery hungry my nexus one 2.2 lasts much longer then my friends iphone time and time again. sluggish? i have little lag on my phone if any in comparison. Iphone is still a great phone, but the os needs to be a bit open. My friends iphone 4 developer sdk is well implemented though
@DRBUK. Apple has invested in html5. html5 wont be properly ready for 2 more years. apple just wants to sell web apps while cutting the middle man. they are doing this by drowning flahs even though its faster and indeed does use less battery. html5 wont even be used as an interoperable standardized working version till 2022. which by then it maybe able to reproduce flash like content, but any who this is all 2.0…. this is a completely bipartisan report. Check out Nexus one 2.2 froyo.
well, we will wait see html 5 it’s all speculation… The facts are the Nexus One is better! Iphone for 4GS may be better, what you have to understand is flash is very important to web browsing, with nexus one getting the full 10.1, it means they will support shockwave flash which means there is nothing you won’t be able to do! Remember Iphone had the 3G, this is google’s first markee phone..
@DRBUK apple has html5 .. you don’t even know what html5 is. why would you want iads all over your device. Did you know that 98 percent of all video on the internet is flash. Did you know the video standard for the HTML5 is not established yet. Did you know what the html5 standard is? If so why do you speak of it as if it is a standard. Virgin airlines.. really.. Did you know that 85% of the top alexa 100 sites use flash. lol virgin airlines. All phones besides apple will use flash 10.1
@uaboob apple have html5 why do they need flash ? normally every new iphone will get a RAM boost up, iad is all html5, do you know since the ipad came out the biggest websites are making html5 versions, virgin airlines said we are going html5 because a lot of our customers want iphone support, flash is great and is not going anywhere, but html5 is the future and is growing as we speak, it does all flash can do without hurting the mac or killing the iphones battery !
os .. wtf iphone does not support flash. whereas the nexus one will support flash 10.1 … more ram with 10.1 is going to utilize hardware acceleration. If you have to ask more questions than you answer I suggest not doing a review. the contrast on the nexus is not 100000:1 contrast .. that is goofy but it is better than the iphone and exponentially so. @lopatamd well yes ur right, and tbh i will have to wait and see how things turn out, but ive used android phones and tbh they are sluggish and just manage to get buy, but saying that i havent used a phone like the nexus one…

I know its your opinion and i respect it. Android is a bad thing?! ever heard of open source? Android is far superior simply because its not as blocked as the iphone os… :/
@lopatamd androids multi-tasking is inefficient, power hungry and makes system performance sluggish, apple have taken there time and finally have mutli-tasking in iphone os 4.0 with NO IMPACT or LESS IMPACT on performance and battery life…thats why i like the iphone because i am patient enough to wait for features to be done elegantly and efficiently…

But since Apple doesn’t have a patent on mutlitouch gestures, they won’t sue Google because of that
@DRBUK Actually, Apple does not have a patent on multitouch gestures.
They have patents on other phone hardware an UI related things and they already sued HTC. As expected, no mention of multitouch in their bill.
And just FYI: The very first multitouch related patent went to Microsoft. Perceptive Pixel is another company that’s done lots of research on that.

Google is a massive Internet entity, i wouldn’t fuck with them if I were Apple, just sayin’
I don’t think the Nexus having Android on it is “Bad” (in red) its really more about preference, and I prefer Androids customizability and features, the only thing slightly lacking is No. of apps as iphone but that is increasing as developers see the advantage of open standards, and the lack of multitouch which is sad because the Nexus has a multitouch screen, Apple is scared of companies stealing market using multitouch, if they think their so good they shouldn’t have anything to worry about.
they can get away with it, because the patents are still not finished yet, but once apple get there patents cleared, google will have to either disable multi touch or find a new way to implement it because they WILL GET SUED BY APPLE.
hmm not really. Apple have PATENTS on multi-touch, anyone can use it but they will get sued big time from apple. google didnt use it for that reason, and google and apple have partnerships and deals on many products, so apple told google, dont copy our things, we dont want to take things up, also we dont have the best patents atm, so ye..google very kindly agreed, they didnt have to, but now apple and google have said things about each other, google dont care, they know they can get away with it
Multitouch was not introduced on launch because it was still in BETA stage and probably suffered crashes. That’s why Google are better than Microsoft (and Apple). Just look at the statistics of the RROD on the XBOX360.
the nexus one has multi touch now. it came in a new update. the update is called 2.1-update1
