We pre-ordered our phones from a freestanding AT&T store in Mishawaka, IN. We got there at 7:07 and had about 4 people in line in front of us in the pre-order line and there were another 4 people in the line to buy. By the time we left they had cleared the line for pre-orders and were starting to to take people from the other line. But we did have sever thunderstorms last night so that could have kept some people away.

I was in line at the Southpoint Mall store in Durham, NC and got there just after 5am. There were already about 20 people in line and then by the time the store opened at 7am there were at least another 100-150 people behind me and getting longer as time went on. A lot of people got there right at 7am thinking they could get in and out but they'll be waiting there for another few hours at least since the activation of each phone took about 10 minutes per person.
