worlds most expensive coaster
it’s a novelty gadget for people that already have one computer or more (probably a mac) and disposable income. it’s a big shiny toy that would look fun to play around with and show off, but i wouldn’t buy it because of its lack of functionality.

guys check out “Notion Ink’s Adam tablet” Was introduced in CES. Now say which1 is better?? I guess it wont be overpriced like this shit!
This is so expensive the only way most people could justify buying it is if they used it as their home computer/laptop.
But for less you can buy a better net book with a bigger screen which can do so much more.
With the price of the basic iPad without the plan, you can buy a netbook that is capable of doing more.
Trash It… I have a iphone and are a youtube user, my biggest complaint is the lack of flash suppurt, it makes viewing youtube content when its freshly uploaded impossible, becasue you have to wait to youtube to make it iphone friendly… It can take hours on some videos and some older videos, you can forget to view them on the iphone… So my next phone when the contract is up, im gonna go with Android and see if i can use that phone better then some of the negative downsides of the iphone

Trash it. This product looks good on paper, but think about the impracticalities: it’s huge so you can’t really stick it in your pocket, where would you put it on a real “on-the-go” scenario if you do not have a lap top bag or back-pack. If you have a laptop bag, why are you using this instead of the iPad. The price is ridiculous for what it is (like most apple products) and it’s an over-all yuppie, apple-zombie bait for money. Also notice there were mostly apple people interviewed.

It seems like they are alla trying to concince themselves that iPad is something necessary when in fact it isn´t. Anyway I still love my MacBook.
Oh, and the name “iPad” doesn’t bother me a bit, but then I’m an adult. I don’t giggle like a schoolgirl every time a sportscaster uses the term “ballplayer” either.
The iPad isn’t without issues though. I don’t use the camera on my laptop so I don’t care about that. Don’t care about multi-tasking either as the iPad isn’t designed to be a workhorse. BUT not having flash support is idiotic! Sure, flash may disappear one day, but it’s here now so we need flash support NOW!
To be fair, the iPad is the ONLY tablet I’ve seen do demos on powerpoint, spreadsheets, word processing, web browsing, email, movies, music, eBooks, and game play.
The only thing I’ve seen a Windows 7 tablet do is show an eBook reader (already loaded) and play a video that is already cued up. THAT’S IT! I suspect that they haven’t worked out the kinks yet.
I’ve seen more from Android (you know, the OTHER cell phone OS) but no demos on productivity apps like spreadsheets, etc.
ya but the microsoft surface is not intended to be cheap and its only being used in business applications… seriously where does apple get the idea that the ipad is a neccessity…. apply usually makes good products there iphone and ipods are wayyyy better than the zunes and other microsoft products but at least with the surface it has shit tons more of accessability.. also ya its 5 grand to buy but i mean its not a blown up touch that does the same things as its lil brother, but a new device

the only real standard in the world, USB, is an option you have to pay extra for.
It uses the same chincy data connection that keeps failing on my Ipods.
It shares the same NON LOGICAL file system with the ipod.

“The Experience”? Get Real..It’s a way overpriced Iphone, without the phone? not even cellular data?
so what do i get for $800?
wifi and 60 gigs of apps? do all the apps in the market even add up to 60gigs?
no USB no Flash no Multitasking, does it even have a basic word processor?
the Google Nexus has a faster core processor…. but i guess people will fall all over themselves for anything “i”
another crappy apple product that only integrates with other crappy apple products.
