wow man, thanks a lot. it works very well! the layout is quite nice
@NorseRonin This one I tested is no longer in the market place we now have Opera Mini Beta 5 and that is a different and beautiful beast, I didn’t have any problems with it
when i tried to download it told me my phone model was not detected. i’m retarded when it comes to stuff like this so any help would be appreciated
cant wait til i gt htc desire on my hands to try this out
tilt ?
Horizontal and vertical ?
almost all touch screen phones can do that.
Can you tilt the phone to surf web like iphone
thanks, I’ve since found it, I love the Nexus
It’s in the Market place
how’d you download opera mini?
Oh my word ! Great !
My buddy with his Iphone 3GS was suppose to come over my house so we could do a side by side comparison on video but after he seen how fast the N1 was I can’t get him to come over to do the comparison
The N1 is damn great, can’t wait for it.
Nice tests man, great video quality we can clearly see what’s going on and you perfectly introduce the test each time.
Keep going
Oh, maybe the setting was just for the beta build.
Hows that 1GHz Snapdragon treating you though?
Opera Mini does that by default and you can’t change it.
I took a look at the setting and there is nothing there about turbo.
When you said that I was hopping it was even faster.
Its Opera’s new feature that compresses data before it is sent to your phone, saving bandwidth and processing time. Go to Tools > Quick Preferences and click Enable Opera Turbo.
Sorry but I don’t know anything about turbo mode.
Are you using Opera’s turbo mode? How bout some numbers with and without it on?
I know, that’s why I said that the browser was fast not the phone.
thanks for the reply
But I’m sure that most people don’t know this and now they do
this is hardly due to the phone, opera mini downloads a compressed website ground down by the opera servers (which work on a faster-than-T1 connection). The speed should be the same on any device running opera mini. On top of that, image quality is decreased, and navigation on opera-mini for android is abysmal.
Don’t get me wrong, I personally use and like opera mini when I load sites that i know take a long while or on EDGE, but I hoped they’d make a native one that works right on android
Thanks for the Comments guys.
Forgive my voice I have a cold.
I’m going to put up at least 3 more vids on the topic and one will be a side by side comparison with the Iphone 3GS
thanks…. i want this phone so much!
Thanks
