yeah i fooled with one today. I have a touch pro and am looking at this and the hero…This is a dam good phone, better than the hero for sure.
The important thing is can you delete the history!

Palm pre browser is much more faster than on the iPhone.

I respect you. I can admit that I envy the Pre’s “card” ecosystem, and I like the OS styling on the Pre.. but for me that’s just not worth it over having an iPhone. The iPhone’s app store and speed are what makes me love it. Plus the seamless integration and syncing with pretty much everything on my computer.. And I hate that Palm constantly re-hacks iTunes instead of making a solution that’s better for their consumer. It’s so unprofessional. Like some smart 16 year olds made it or something.

Hey buddy three months in. Do you still stand by that? Cause as far as I am concerned my Pre’s app catalog is pathetically pathetic. The new google phone has better apps and its even younger… And don’t callme a Pre hater. I HAVE IT AND LOVE IT! I am just pointing the finger at the problem everyone is thinking about in the back of their heads. I am not as ignorant as some and will admit that something is wrong when it is.. Don’t settle for mediocre. ONLY settle for the very best!
Again totally agree. I again LOVE the Pre and cannot stand the iPhone.. But its ridiculous. DO NOT OPEN A STORE AT ALL IF ITS UNFINISHED, UNPROFESSIONAL, and STRAIGHT UP GOD AWFUL! I think our problem is too many developers are hanging with the iPhone and we get the rejects on the Pre. Makes sense too, just like making a virus for a Mac as opposed to a PC.. Why make a virus that affects 8% of computer owners. Why make apps for a phone that less people own. Its just wrong place wrong time ya dig?

No it won’t grow. I am a proud owner of the Pre, and imo I can do anything an iPhone can do…just 20 x’s better. The issue at hand is how can we ever win if all we have are underdeveloped over priced apps. You know how your Facebook app for example is free and is the GOD of Facebook apps? Well ours is $1.99 and all I can do is like and change a status. NOTHING ELSE! Our apps are unprofessional in appearance and unprofessionally made. We basically have Apple app making rejects making our apps…
Point is null. There were no complete application stores until Apple’s App Store, and the iPhone App Store had thousands of apps AT LAUNCH, whereas the Pre’s application store (which would flat out NOT EXIST were it not for the iPhone’s app store), had what, 3 dozen at launch?? Pretty pathetic. It didn’t take 3 years to get 65,000, it took 2 weeks to get 3,000. That’s pretty fucking impressive no matter how you look at it. Whereas Palm took 6 months to get about 32 apps.. that’s pathetic.

I’m confident the Pre’s store will grow with time but I am definitely sold on the iPhone. I am so happy with my 3Gs I can’t even tell you.
Whether it’s the gimmicky apps or the extremely useful ones like my Navigon Navigation about the only useful thing I can’t use this phone for is scrambling my eggs in the morning.
Apps are important. If Apple didn’t have the apps they did I’d doubt the phone would be as popular as it is. It’s a good phone but apps really make the phone.
That’s impossible to control. And since when is having more choice a bad thing? There are more developers for iPhone and that means more competition. Having multiple apps that do the same thing is good, because they compete with each other and gain more functionality, and the consumer wins. I can’t believe how tiny the Palm Pre’s app store STILL is..
Yeah.. the Pre’s app store is still tiny 2 months later, and has nowhere near the amount (or the quality) of business applications that the iPhone has.. Still stick to your argument?? >_>

iPhone is better for browsing, the cpu is a little bit faster… But I also don’t like the iPhone, cause everyone has one..
I use for about 1 year a nokia E90 Communicator, I love this mobile phone! =) It is big, it is fast, it is fast enough in browsing, it looks great, nearly noone knows this device nor has one…
My next device ? Don’t know, if the Nokia N900 gets mobile phone functions, I’ll get this one. Maybe an OpenMoko phone ? .. hmm..
