Why do people STILL want freaking CD ROM’s? That technology is over 20 years old. I rarely use it anymore. If I need data I’ll use a flash drive or SD card.

if some company make a case with a keyboard all in one then this in theory can be great for college students. i work looks amazing (better than word on netbooks) apps are rich and smooth netbooks cant even run games like the ipad. need for speed/ assassins creed etc. apps can be loaded very fast so lack of multitasking should not be something to whine about. LOL

The reason the iPad doesn’t have a CD-ROM drive is because it would make the battery life too low and make the device thicker than 0.5-inches. A normal portable PC doesn’t have a 10-hour battery, but the iPad does.

Actually, USB and SD card reader adapters are available for the iPad so that cameras can be connected to it and SD cards can be read from it.
If you install the Skype app, you can make calls with the iPad since it has both a mic and speakers built-in.

Actually, paper can get quite expense with purchasing college textbooks for a semester, and this device will allow a person to carry all of them in a space that’s only 0.5 inches thin.
Regarding the font change function: he was doing it incorrectly. The font size is changed by doing the pinch/zoom gesture and not by tapping the font button. This was demonstrated in the keynote.
