everyone is saying it’s just a big ipod touch, but… for me that’s what i want, im still only gonna use it in my house.. basiclly, and when im gonna do something like photoshop etc i do it on my pc because its much easier and faster than on a tablet or laptop, i just wanna chill with this thing, play some games.. use it on the toilet

Anyone else think this is just a big iPod touch? Because while it’s like a phone-less smartphone. Where is the likeness to a laptop. Where is..

• Program support for something other then what’s on the App Store

• MMS
• Additional hardware support

I think they’re freakin awesome is why. You can’t even imagine what you will be able to do on this device once jailbroken. It is going to be pretty sweet. Only getting 32gb now though, really have no use for 64.
Ok nevermind, there is a plastic flap. However, I don’t feel it should be an accessory, if it’s within an acceptable range I’ll understand since apple wants to keep the price really low.
btw, the unlimited data plan actually made me clap and applaud, and I don’t use mac products.
I’m not going to bash this thing too hard but I won’t buy one, if I drop it it’s fair to say I’m going to mess up the screen. They should have a plastic flap to cover it. That’s a no brainer

Just purchased an Apple gift card this morning for a 64gb iPad. So atleast it’s paid for now, all that’s left to do is wait for the release date! Man I can’t wait!
Is it better than a laptop? No… it does not allow for an wired Ethernet connection. It does not have a real keyboard… Imagine writing a report on it. How is it better than a laptop? and how is it better than a phone? It does not make calls, it does not have any 3G service running on it… So… How is this in between a laptop and a cellphone? It is a cool device… But nothing out of this world.
